MapleNet technical staff members had the opportunity to participate in an all-day training seminar on microwave antenna systems and alignment. The training seminar was led by Andy Singer of Singer Executive Development.
The training seminar, titled “Microwave Antenna Systems Basics, Installation & Alignment Training” provided MapleNet staff with a number of useful tools, including methods for calculating signal levels as well as a practical overview of deployment considerations with directional microwave antennas.
“We are installing parabolic dish antennas every day, all year round,” according to Pat McCauley, MapleNet’s Field Services Manager. “This session provided us with very solid principles and practices for the alignment and troubleshooting of antenna systems.”
MapleNet technicians engaged in classroom exercises as well as in-depth discussions about microwave antenna installation techniques and field practices.
